If you are letting property in Scotland you are required to register as a landlord with the local council. You must have at least submitted an application by the time that your first tenancy begins. Registration lasts for three years from the date of approval.
You can find out more and register online at www.landlordregistrationscotland.gov.uk. There is a discount for online registration.
